About the film

The musical comedy film was directed by Richard Lester and starred The Beatles: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr as themselves during the height of Beatlemania. The film portrays 36 hours in the lives of the group as they prepare for a television performance.

The film was a critical success and was nominated for two Academy Awards including Best Original Screenplay and is credited as being one of the most influential musical films of all time.

The film's title comes from something said by Ringo Starr: "We went to do a job, and we'd worked all day and we happened to work all night. I came up still thinking it was day I suppose, and I said, 'It's been a hard day ...' and I looked around and saw it was dark so I said, '... night!' So we came to A Hard Day's Night."

This replica has been redesigned in the same size and proportions as the "Benefit of Mr. Kite" framed print available here, with the same frame. A perfect gift for any Beatles fan either on it's own or as a companion piece to the "Mr Kite" print.

Please note: this is a vintage-style reproduction print and is not an original vintage film poster.
