About the poster
The poster was commissioned by the Australian National Travel Association in 1936, and illustrated by Gert Sellheim who contributed many designs for the Australian National Travel Association.
Sellheim's simple and colourful artwork entices travellers to visit Australia with its golden beaches and deep blue waves, and it was art like this that earned Sellheim a posthumous induction into the Australian Graphic Design Association Hall of Fame in 2019.
