About the poster
The scene is illustrated by Roger Broders (1883-1953) who was hired by the PLM rail line in 1922 to create posters promoting rail travel throughout France. This skiscape known as St. Gervais-Les-Bains in the French Alps shows the region's first enclosed gondola and a "funiculaire," or cable railway, ascending the steep mountainside in the background.
Please note: this is a vintage-style reproduction print and is not an original vintage railway poster.
